Babbitt metal is soft however, its structure is made up of small hard crystals dispersed in a softer metal. All are in excellent condition and still in the original box.
Rabbiting is simply the process of applying new Babbitt metal to the connecting rod. Each rod is genuine Gm. Fits all Chevrolet inline six cylinders from all six 6 rods were rabbited to specs for.
Five 5 rods were remanufactured by the Daniel hail mfg. Babbitt metal is characterized by its resistance to galling and these bearings commonly get over 50,000 miles of use before needing replacement. Babbitt, also called Babbitt metal or bearing metal, is any of several alloys used for the bearing surface in a plain bearing and the final rod was rebuilt by juggles rod company.
