The flaps are glued closed and can't be opened without damaging the box. I think this must have been some sort of inventory number or it may be the sealed power part number for the set. I assume that the same items would be in the unopened box. There is a front and back picture of the sign.
If you see anything in the that needs correcting please let me know. There are six packages of rings and the paper is in good condition but does seem to be fragile. There is a gauge tool and a cardboard sign included.
Obviously these boxes are old. In today's world the sign would be a sticker. This is two Mopar.
I think these are from the 1940's because the latest application listed is 1948. The other box has been opened at some point with damage to the box but seems to be complete and the items in the box seem to be in good condition. Both boxes have been marked with 589x.
